2) How do I check my new email accounts?

There are a number of ways to check email: 1-through the "Manage Email" section of the Webmedley Management Console, 2-through Webmail (found by replacing the http://www. before your domain name with http://mail.), 3-through Outlook or Outlook Express, or 4-through your current email account by using email forwarding.

3) When we create email accounts, what will they be?

You can choose the first part of the email account (it must be at least 3 characters long, no spaces) - you can use first names, titles, etc.  The second part of the email address will simply be the @ sign followed by your domain name.  For example, you might have something similar to pastorjohn@church.com or office@ourchurch.org.

4) How do I keep certain emails from being identified as Spam?

Spam filters can be a double edged sword.  While they can block much unwanted email - they can, on occasion, also filter out email that you want to receive.   If you want more control over your mail, you can set up a rules to instruct the mail server what to do with your spam.  Here's how...

5) Can I forward my emails to my AOL (or other email) account?

Yes.  Log into your Webmedley email account and select "Change my Forwarding Info" from the pull-down menu on the main email page.  Simply enter your other email account in the field and click "Save" - from this point on, all emails sent to your Webmedley account will be forwarded to your other email account.  To begin retrieving emails in your Webmedley inbox, simply log back in, remove the other email address from the forwarding field, and click "Save" again.  All forwarding will cease.

6) How many e-mails/aliases do I get?

This depends on what Webmedley package you are using, and if you have requested additional emails as part of your package.  Contact Customer Support at support@webmedley.net or call 1-800-434-8607 to find out what package your organization has if you are not sure.  An alias is not actually an email address but simply forwards emails sent to an alias to a specified list of other email addresses.  For instance, emails sent to an address such as info@church.com may in fact simply send copies of the email to the pastor, the secretary and the associate pastor's email addresses.  There are no limit to the number of aliases you can create.

7) Does email work with Outlook or Outlook Express?

Yes.  You will need to change your incoming and outgoing mail servers to the Webmedley mail server, which is simply your domain name with mail. before the domain (instead of www.).  Need further assistance?
