Trying to Avoid Bad Habits.

Last week we went over some of the good habits you should form to make your site clean and consistent.  This week wer'e showing you what to avoid.  There are quite a few things that people can do which make life easier in the short term, but can do mountains of damage in the end.  These little bad habits can add up to big problems with your site and leave you with an unprofessional and sloppy website.

Introducing the culprits to sloppy websites:  Take a look at Webmedley's Most Wanted Bad Habits to Avoid

Backing up your Website.

Q) Is there a backup of my site somewhere?

A) Currently all webmedley accounts are backed up into one large file.  So there isn't a way to revert to one particular site without backing up everyone's site (which is only done in case of emergency). If you are interested in backing up your website yourself, take a look at some software called WebStripper (Download a free trial version at: http://webstripper.net/).  This lets you back up websites to your hard drive. It just saves the information on your website into folders on your hard drive. You can even tell it to stay within your domain without backing up the other sites you link to.
