Customizing the "Vintage Templates"

As you may or may not know, all WebMedley templates can be customized to include your own personal graphics, and/or feature the name of your church.  This is possible because all template have certain designated area which are interchangable with another graphic of similar size.  The older or "Vintage" templates have certain areas that can feature any graphic you create.  The reloaded templates can have the header feature the name of your organization, as well as a motto or tag line.

Take a look at the "vintage" templates, which areas can be customized, and how to insert your own graphics at our WebMedley customizing page.

The Never Ending "Loading Menu" folder

Q) My folder list on the left side of my WebMedley screen seems to be locked up, it just says "Loading Menu"?

A) What has most likely happened, is you have included an HTML or Java character in the name or title of a page, media name, or library name. HTML and Java (The 2 languages WebMedley integrates) use certain characters to divide different elements.  These characters are: quotation marks (""), commas (,), apostrophes (') and parantheses (()).  If you were to use these characters in your titles (like a page named "Newsletters (Archived)"), HTML would treat your text as HTML code and cause certain aspects of WebMedley to lock up.

Best way to fix this problem: Rename your page titles and media names to just plain text or hyphens.

Best way to avoid this problem: Never name something using the characters mentioned above.
