Web sites use the Domain Name System to give each Web site a unique address. (i.e. www.myname.org). You will need a domain name for your WebMedley Web site.

If you need to register a new domain name, we can do that for you as part of your account creation. To see if the domain you'd like to register is avalible, you can type it into the field below to check it's avaliblity.
With the WebMedley system, you may register your domain name as a ".com", ".net", or ."org". Normally, .com is used for commercial purposes, .net for Networks and Telecom groups, and .org for Non-profit organizations.

If you have an existing domain name, you can transfer it to the WebMedley system. You will continue to own your name, and WebMedley will use the transfer to control the address resolution so that your domain name will take users to your new Web site. Depending on the Registrar for your domain name, the transfer process may take between 1-7 days. In the signup process, you will need to provide the domain name to be transferred. WebMedley Customer Support will supply you with the preliminary information needed to change the domain, or if you prefer, they can do it for you. The current administrative and technical contacts for the domain (most likely someone in your organization) will be responsible for initiating and approving the transfer. If you have any questions about a domain name transfer, please contact support@webmedley.net.

The WebMedley system offers both standard POP and WebMail email accounts. All standard signup packages include email accounts.

When you transfer your existing domain name, you will be transferring your email service as well. Since the transfer process can take several days, you will continue to use your existing email service for the first few days after you have signed up with WebMedley. Once the transfer is complete, your email will only be available via the WebMedley e-mail Servers. You will need to recreate each of your existing email accounts in the WebMedley System. You will find this task to be relatively simple, but you will need a master list of all your accounts and be prepared to forward instructions to the owners of those accounts. For specific instructions on dealing with the change over and how this will affect your existing email software, we recommend that you consult with an account representative or contact us at support@webmedley.net.

Once you have completed your signup, you will have access to the Management Console. If you are logged on as the Web site Administrator, you will have access to the E-mail Management page. To access the E-mail Administration, use the same user name and password you received for your Webmedley account at signup. In the upper right corner is a drop down selection menu that includes Account Options. Select User Administration. This will bring up a screen that will guide you through the Add, Edit, Delete and Change Password functions. Simply select a function, fill in the required information and click Save. There is an extensive help menu available with explanations of terminology and email management functions. If you need assistance, please contact us at support@webmedley.net.
