How to Set Up Email in Outlook/Outlook Express

  1. Open Outlook Express.
  2. Go to Tools -> Accounts


  3. Click "Add...Mail" to add a new account.


  4. Put in your name. [Click Next]
  5. Then put in your email address. [Click Next]
  6. Put mail.[your domain name]as both your incoming and outgoing mail servers.



    • (Ex: If your church was 'www.church.org' then you would put in 'mail.church.org')
    • [Click Next]
  7. In the 'Account Name' field, put in your e-mail address in its entirety 
  8. Enter your password. 

     

    • (DO NOT checkmark the Secure Password Authentication.)
    • [Click Next]
  9. Click "Finish".
  10. After completing setup, go back to Tools ->Accounts and select the account you just created.
  11. Click on Properties.


  12. Click the Servers tab.
  13. Under Outgoing Mail Server, checkmark "My Server Requires Authentication"


  14. Click "OK".

This should complete the setup process.
