The WebMedley Toolbar 2.0 is contained in a downloadable .zip file on this page.  While Windows XP has built in capacity to open .zip files, other older Windows operating systems may not.  If you find that your Windows Operating system doesn't recognize the .zip file extension, you can download and install Winzip software to allow you to open this file.  Then follow the instructions below:

1. Start the toolbar download by clicking on the button above.
   
2. When prompted, "would you like to open the file or save it to your computer?" select "Save" and choose a location to save the file that will be easy to remember later, such as your desktop or your "My Documents" folder.
   
   (Be aware, this file is 4MB in size.  Download time is estimated below.)

3. When the file has finished downloading, find it on your computer and double-click on it to open it.  (If your computer cannot open the file, you may need to install WinZip - see instructions above.) Extract the files inside to an easy to find location, such as your desktop or your "My documents" folder.  Doing this will create a folder called "WebMedley Toolbar v2" in the location you have selected.
   
4. Check your version of Internet Explorer (IE).  If you are using IE 6.0 you will need to make sure your toolbars are unlocked before continuing any further.  (If you have 5.5 you do not need to do this because it is not a feature in that version.  If your version of IE is lower than 5.5, you will need to upgrade it to 6.0 before continuing.)
   
5. Open the "WebMedley Toolbar v2" folder and run the setup.exe file
   

   

6. Follow the instructions in the setup process to install the toolbars.
   
7. Close all Internet Explorer windows and then re-open one.
   
8. Select the "View" Menu ---> Select toolbars ----> Select Authorworks Main and Authorworks Format.  For further clarification, watch the demo of this process. (This demo will take 30-40 seconds to download on a dial-up modem.)
